Lily's Haircut

We took Lily & Lacey to get their hair trimmed today. Lacey had less than an inch taken off the ends and isn't noticeable at all. I thought that Lily would want the "usual" also, an inch or two off the ends but she suggested a cut up to her shoulders! I was shocked, as she has fought every comment I've made over the past several months to get her hair cut short. She likes it a lot, although the bangs are going to take a while to get used to. Nearly 7 inches of hair was taken off.

Decorating Update

We have accomplished to complete a few updates to our living room over the past few weeks. Painting has been completed although the color is a few shades different than what I had hoped for. The carpet and padding has been removed and the base boards stripped. We purchased the wood laminate flooring panels and the foam underlay. Lets just say that all of that was a breeze. Our first attempt at applying the wood laminate didn't go so well. We gave up, and it is still sitting in the middle of the floor and we're walking around on ugly cold concrete! We need the help of professionals...or someone that doesn't become frustrated easily.
I found a surprise while we were ripping up the carpet...Ryan left this for me, hoping it wouldn't be so noticeable behind the furnace cover... sweet huh? :) More updates to come!

Spring Break!

I am ecstatic that Spring is finally here! This past winter has made me realize how much I hate cold weather! I enjoy snow days, building snowmen, making snow angels and sledding BUT once or twice during the season is more than enough!

Ryan isn't working at Technicolor any longer. His position was eliminated due to budgeting. It has been more of a blessing than an inconvenience as he is able to stay home with the girls' and help out around the house. He is such a wonderful husband and does everything I ask of him and then some. I am so blessed to be his wife and I love him more and more each day.

I have been having severe episodes of vertigo again, lasting days at a time and nothing seems to decrease the severity. I am awaiting an appointment with neuro rehab for vestibular therapy. I am praying the therapy will be the "cure" as living with this condition makes for many wasted days.

Today began the girls' first day of Spring Break and we're planning a trip to Tennessee to visit Ryan's parents. We always enjoy visiting and are looking forward to having a lot of fun!

A few weeks go Ashley and I found Dachshunds for my parents. They are adorable! My Dad was skeptical at first, thinking that puppies were going to be too hard for them to care for. Less than a week later he claims they are just what they needed. They are no replacement for Boomer as NO dog could ever live up to his abilities/annoyances...haha.
